Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMATILDA LOUISA LISIK It is with a deep yet peaceful sadness that the family announces the passing of Tillie on January 20th, 2011 at the age of 92. Mom will be dearly missed by her children and their families Sharon (Ted) Bockstael (Michelle, Greg - Carissa; Michael - Cole, Nash) Lorne (Susan) Lisik (David, Amy; Kara, Sean - Hailey) Louella (Bill) McPherson (Kent, Shannon - Caitlyn, Nolan; Andrew, Jody - Kalder). Mom was the youngest of eight born to a pioneer family in Othan, SK. One brother George Beres (Elizabeth) remains in Yorkton, SK. Life was not always easy for her but a determination to do best for her family and her strong faith were her driving forces. She was very proud of obtaining her LPN from St. Boniface Hospital later in her life. She was instrumental in getting equal pay for equal work during her 20 year career at Deer Lodge Hospital. She was a highly respected worker and became known as Mom to many of her peers. Mom loved her home on Roseberry Street and had wonderful memories of the great neighbours. She moved to the Kiwanis Courts and had eight contented years there. Her devotion to her faith and involvement with St. Ann's Parish was an important part of her life. Her final months were spent at Tuxedo Villa. She was so appreciative of the wonderful care given her by truly dedicated, loving, care givers. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Mom's life will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest with her granddaughter Marnie. We know she is with her God faithfully saying the Rosary for those she has left behind. Rest in peace, Mom.
