Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN CESAR 1934 - 2011 On January 18, 2011, John Cesar passed away suddenly in his home in East Selkirk, M.B. He was 76 years old. John is survived by his wife Myrna and their three children - sons Jason and Jonathon (Paula) and daughter Dawn. Also by his brother Einar (Frances) and sisters Nellie-Anne (John), Marilyn (Thom), Linda (Ron), Stella (Pete) and Pearl (Paul) as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their children. John was predeceased by both of his parents, Joseph and Pearl, his stepfather John Fisher, his brother Joseph Jr., sisters Katherine and Jenny. John married his wife Myrna (nee Kolodginski) on May 21st, 1966. He was born on July 4, 1934 in Libau, MB and lived in East Selkirk his whole life. He was an employee of Amsco, in Selkirk, where he worked since he was 17 years old until his retirement at the age of 65. Dad was a lay-reader at St. Peter's Denyvor Church in East Selkirk and Selkirk for several years. He enjoyed gardening, cooking unique meals, yard-work and playing with the family cats. He also really loved reading Western books and watching the old Western movies and television shows. It was his fondest wish to be cremated with interment to be done at a later date. There will be no funeral service. For those wishing to pay their respects to the family and say farewell, a come and go visitation following cremation will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. The family would also like to extend a huge thank you to both sides of our family for their wonderful support and assistance through this time. We would also like extend our thanks and appreciation to the Paramedics and staff of Selkirk General Hospital and Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk for their care of him.
