Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMMA BANKERT Peacefully, with her family by her side at the Ashern Personal Care Home, Emma Bankert went to be with her Lord and Saviour on January 21, 2011. Lovingly remembered by her children; Jim (Terry), Barbara, Gerald (Marylynn), Iver (Sandy), Paul, Bev (Bert); daughters-in-law Helen and Darlene; 23 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; sister Kathleen (Bill) Klatt; brothers Iver (Merle) Iverson and Tom (Myrtle) Iverson. She was predeceased by her husband Peter; sons David, Daniel and Stephen; twin sister Ida; sisters Ellen, Betty, Martha; and brothers Jim and Eddie. Born May 15, 1919, Emma was one of 10 children born to Iver and Emma Iverson. Mom was very devoted to her family, farm and hobbies but her first devotion was to her Lord. Becoming a Christian at 26 years of age, she devoted her life to serving God. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Grahamdale Community Hall with Pastor Mike Andrews officiating. Interment to follow at the Hilbre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dauphin Bible Camp, PO Box 686, Dauphin, MB R7A 3BC or to the Hilbre Gospel Chapel, PO Box 19, Hilbre, MB R0C 1L0. Pallbearers will be her four surviving sons Jim, Gerald, Iver and Paul. For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phil. Ch. 1 v:21.
