AGNUS JEAN THARP (nee LACEY) 1928 - 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Agnus Jean Tharp on Friday morning, January 21, 2011 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 82. Our mother was born on April 5, 1928 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She met her husband, John Wesley Tharp (who passed away six years ago) in Halifax, and they moved to Winnipeg in 1954. Manitoba became their new home. Mom is survived by her son Joseph and daughter Debby, daughter-in-law Sharon, granddaughters Michelle and Robyn and great-grandsons Benjamin and William, also brother-in-law Abner and sister-in-law Dilly as well as nieces and nephews from coast to coast. The family would like to say thank you to the wonderful staff and residents on the 4th floor of Arlington House. She always told us that they were wonderful and understanding. She had many good friends throughout the building. We would also like to thank the staff in the ICU at the Grace Hospital. We appreciate your care, concerns and understanding. At Mom's request, a private family gathering will be held. She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A Chaplin from the Salvation Army will say prayers.
