ELSIE SIDORCHUK November 2, 1923 - January 21, 2011 It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our dear mom, granny, great-grandma, sister, and friend Elsie Sidorchuk on January 21, 2011 at the age of 87. Left to mourn is her daughter Janice, son Jimmy, grandson Tyler, granddaughters Tara and Melissa (Dan), and her great-grandson Austin. Also left to mourn is her brother Ted (Marlene), sister-in-law Mable and many nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.S.A. Elsie was predeceased by her husband James, daughters Carol and Wanda, parents Joseph and Mary, brothers Charlie and Stan, and sister Josephine (Bishop). Mom was born in Souris, MB. She moved to Winnipeg at a young age, fell in love with her future husband James and got married in 1951. She lived in the North End for the majority of her life where she raised her family and enjoyed gardening, cooking, knitting, and bingo. In her later years she moved into Luther Home where she met many friends and loved them all. She adored her grandchildren and truly lived to love them. Forever we will miss her love, witty personality, and strength. Thank-you to the wonderful Nurses and Health Care Aides at Seven Oaks Hospital, 3rd floor, for all your compassionate care. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment and reception will follow.
