CAROLE LORRAINE PACZKOSKI (nee HIRST) Peacefully on January 23, 2011, Carole Lorraine Paczkoski passed away in her residence with her family at her side at the age of 64. With strength, courage and determination she fought a lengthy battle with cancer. Carole will be forever loved and remembered by her daughters Sherry Jezic and Laurie Stansfield (Jay-Dee); granddaughters Chantelle, Taylor and Jasmyn; mother Grace Hirst; sisters Mae Osis (Bud), Joyce Wysocki (Terry), brothers, Wally Hirst (Karen), Richard Hirst (Joanne) and Charlie Hirst (Sally) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carole was predeceased by her father James Hirst, and former husband Ignace Paczkoski. Carole was born December 12, 1946 in Riverton, MB and was raised in Lac du Bonnet, MB. As a young woman she relocated to Winnipeg to establish a life for herself. She married, was blessed with two girls, and devoted her life to staying home to raise her dearly loved children. Carole had numerous passions in life. To name a few, she enjoyed softball, curling, bingo, camping and was a big fan of Elvis. She was a nurturing and loving mother and grandmother who took a tremendous pride in her three beautiful granddaughters. She couldn't stop smiling whenever she attended her granddaughter's activities. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Rubinger, and the staff at CancerCare Manitoba for their kind and compassionate care for Carole over the past eight years. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday January 27, 2011 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street.
