Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESE DUMONT (nee CHARTRAND) February 23, 1926 - January 25, 2011 It is with a profound sense of loss and sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Thérèse Dumont on January 25, 2011. Thérèse leaves to cherish her sweet and loving memory eight surviving children: Gaston (Arlene), Yvon (Lyla), Paul (Debbie), Guy, Laurent (Brenda), Annette Petrowski (Scott), Yvette, Jeannette Schon (Richard). Thérèse also leaves to honour her memory: 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, six sisters: Berthe Lambert, Rita Lauzon, Yolande Lavallée, Denise Boyer, Donalda Bruce, Patsy Millar (Ray) and three brothers: Norman, Alfred (Thérèse) and Donat (Jeannette) and daughters-in-law Betty and Karen and numerous nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom she loved and deeply cared for. Thérèse was predeceased by her loving husband Willie, her parents Ludovic and Maggie (nee Devlin) Chartrand, four children: Joseph, Annette, Réal and Aurèle and four brothers and sisters: Ernest, Annette, Irma and Marie. Thérèse was well known for her compassion and concern for everyone she knew. Always cheerful and ready to lend a hand or to help you see the bright side of a situation, she dealt gracefully with her declining health in recent years. Her spirit of kindness and generosity was an inspiration to all who knew her. Mom was very proud of her family and devoted her entire life to us, always instilling in us a strong sense of family and encouraging us to stick together and help each other in life. She loved organizing family gatherings and always insisted on preparing all our favourite foods. One of Mom's great passions was music and for many years she enjoyed playing the piano and singing for friends and family. Prayers will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church, followed by mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Father Michel Nault will officiate. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
