ROSE LISCHENSKI (nee Baschak) September 23, 1912 - January 25, 2011 On Tuesday, January 25, 2011, Rose passed peacefully from this earth at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home at the age of 98 years. With sadness, she is survived by two daughters Joyce (Ed), Rosalie (Stuart); five grandchildren, Boyd, Cindy, Tamara, Rae, Raymond; six great-grandchildren Devon, Jonah, Morgan, Titus, Siobhan, Owen; as well as brothers Tony, and Lloyd. She was predeceased by two sons Raymond and Ed; eleven brother and sisters. Rose was born in Pine River, MB and lived there until 1955 when she came to Winnipeg and started a new journey in life with her three children. She was with St. Edward's Church Catholic Women's League for 25 years. Rose loved playing bingo, going to Vegas, bowling, and volunteering at the community club. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Monday, January 31 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H., presiding. A private family Entombment will be held in Assumption Roman Catholic Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the staff at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home who cared for her in the last years of her life. Thanks also to a special friend, Ann Marie Stewart who supplied Mom with blueberries and flowers for many years. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Rose's name may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3.
