DOROTHY MODJESKI (nee GRAHAM) With sadness, we announce the passing of our Mother, Dorothy Modjeski on January 26, 2011 at the age of 74 years. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Leonard in June, 1990. Survived by seven children, Nancy (Don), Jeff (Siobhan), Bob (Bonnie), Murray (Karen), Colleen (Rick), Jim (Lori) and Dawn (Perry), and 18 wonderful and exciting grandchildren. Mom was very active in many different disciplines of life including, President of Christ the King C.W.L. and Chairperson of Christ the King School Board in the 1970s. Our Mother also enjoyed social sports such as bowling and curling. Mom also enjoyed participating in many fundraising events for the Church and nonprofit organizations. I know our Mother would like to thank the ladies at the Red Hat Society for the many luncheons attended, her co-workers and customers at the Bank of Nova Scotia and most importantly, all her friends past and present that she had the pleasure of knowing during her journey on earth. We would also like to thank the Riverside Lion's Manor for their care and compassion over the past few years. Vigil Prayers will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 847 St. Mary's Road. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
