JAMES DOYLE Peacefully, after a life long illness, James passed away on January 26, 2011 at the age of 82. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Claudette (nee Riel), son Trent and daughters Kathie (Jim), Delleen (Paul) and Allyson (Paul). James also had 10 grandchildren who will miss him deeply, Scott, Stephanee, Marcus, Stacee, Kevin, Colleen, Ryan, Paul, James and Shannon. James' lifetime journey began in St. John's, Newfoundland on August 25, 1928. He was born into a large Irish Catholic family. He joined the Air Force at the age of 22, trained as a mechanic and saw many parts of the world. Throughout this time he married, raised his family and eventually settled in Winnipeg in 1978. James then retired from the Air Force as a Warrant Officer and to keep himself busy, took a job at Bristol Aerospace for the next 10 years. All through his career he enjoyed his personal time with his family the most. Dad had the best smile and an infectious laugh to go with it. This will be missed the most. We love you Dad and we are relieved that the pain will no longer be part of your life. You fought to the very end and left us, knowing that everything will be okay. A celebration of his life will take place on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Chapel, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. Our sincere thanks goes out to the staff at Victoria General Hospital. Dr. Abdulrehman, you did a wonderful job with Dad and we thank you for that. Finally, a special thank you to Lynn Granke, who guided us through the final stage of his life with kindness and compassion.
