Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA DIANE PAULSON (nee SMIGELSKY) May 10, 1955 - January 23, 2011 Patricia passed away at the Riverview Medical Centre after a difficult and courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 36 years, Howard; son Kenneth; father Walter Smigelsky; sister Donna; her beloved kittens, Sparkie, Shadow and Buster, and puppy Pumpkin Petunia. She will also be missed by numerous relatives, friends and co-workers. She was predeceased by their infant daughter Kristen; her mother Catherine Smigelsky and grandparents Stephan and Dokia Shmigelsky and John and Effie Semeniuk; father and mother-in-law Soren and Jean Paulson. Patricia attended Garden City Collegiate and West Kildonan Collegiate and worked at the Real Canadian Superstore for over 30 years. Patricia had a big heart and was a very kind, generous person who touched everyone she met. The family wishes to thank the wonderful Palliative Care staff and doctors at the Riverview Medical Centre for all their care and compassion. In keeping with Patricia's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. As Patricia was very fond of animals, anyone so inclined may make a donation in Patricia's memory to any animal rescue organization of their choice.

Today I became aware of Pat's passing. She was on my mind all day today, so I searched the internet to see if I could find her on facebook, possibly. My heart dropped when I discovered the notice of her passing. I was her hairdresser for many years until I could no longer do my job after being a victim of a motor vehicle accident. I have thought of her many times over the years. She was the kindest most loving person. She was so proud of her family. It was such a pleasure knowing her and it breaks my heart that she has left this earth way too soon. She really made a positive impact on my life...I loved our visits. It's 3 years today that you passed away Pat. Me, Kenneth, Sparky and Pumpkin are all that is left of a once proud family. We all miss you more than words can say and want you to know that you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my love and save a place for us for when our times come, we will all give you a big hug.
