Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD (HAL) EDWARD MAY It is with sadness that we announce the death of Harold E. May on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Remaining to forever cherish Hal's memory are his wife Anna; daughter Zan May (Richard Jones); sister Harriet; grandchildren Bronwyn and Erin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Hal was born on June 7, 1926 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. After graduation, he served for several years with the United States Navy during the Second World War. Upon returning to the USA, he furthered his education by attending the University of Wisconsin, Milton College, Purdue University, the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. Hal obtained several degrees in Arts, Science and Education, including a doctorate. A passion for education led Hal to choose a career as a professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He loved to teach and contributed over 30 years of teaching and administration experience from kindergarten to university level. In the field of education, he was recognized with honours. In compliance with Hal's wishes no formal Funeral Service will be held.
