Peter is survived by his children Karl (Nadia), Roswieta, and Peter; grandchildren Rebecca (Kevin), Erica (Sebastien), and Laura (Ryan); great-grandchildren Tessa and Cedric; sisters Mary and Helen (Roy), brother Leonard, nieces and nephews and their families; and his ex-wife Maria. Over the years he had a variety of jobs but he spoke with particular fondness of his years at the U of M Fine Arts Department. He enjoyed many hobbies, especially his cars, operating his ham radio (calling himself Columbo ), hunting, and fishing. After retirement, Peter enjoyed the friendship of his neighbours (and later his care-givers) in the West End, Lion's Place, Lion's Manor, and Riverview Health Centre. The family is grateful for the kindness and excellent care he received wherever he lived. Interment has taken place at Glen Eden Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, on Tuesday, February 1 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
