Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN MARGARET HENRY July 20, 1940 January 28, 2011 On Friday, January 28, 2011, peacefully and surrounded by family who loved her more than words can say, Jean passed away after a very brief and courageous battle with cancer at Ste. Anne Hospital. Left to cherish Jean's memory is her son Kirt (Dawn); daughter Karla (Grant); grandchildren Sydney and Garrett; step-grandchildren Andrew (Ashlee) and Caden; sisters Nora (Don), Flo, Babs and Anita; nieces and nephews; as well as wonderful friends and her constant companion, Zak. Waiting for her in heaven is beloved husband Kel; brothers and sisters Jim, Mazo, Carl, Ron, Iris and Bill and many fur-babies and grand fur-babies. Jean lived her life with dignity and purpose, always strong and selfless. She was the glue that held the family together and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She had a fierce love of her family, friends and all of nature. Jean grew up near Macdonald, Manitoba and she and her husband Kel lived in Winnipeg, Glenboro, Dominion City and Paradise Village. As a teacher, she had a great influence on the lives of her students. Her love of kids transferred over to her home which was always open to any of Karla's and Kirt's friends. In her time at Paradise Village she discovered her second childhood, spending countless hours in the bush with her dear friends building trails and tepees and playing with their dogs. On Thursday, February 3, 2011 a Celebration of Jean's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Paradise Village Recreation Centre, Ste. Anne, MB. Interment will be held at a later date with family attending. Honorary pallbearers will be Jean's nieces and nephews Suzanne, Liana, Ken, Cathy, Collin, Laurel, Tara, David, Janet, Lynn, Mark, Laurence and Debbie. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Ste. Anne Hospital; the Canadian Wildlife Fund or a charity of your choice.
