KENNETH BAUML January 30, 2011 With great sadness and with his family by his side, we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth Bauml at the age of 76. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Lucille; his children: Jocelyn (Noel), Colleen, Terry (Brenda), Wes, Neil (Wendy), Glenn (Karen), and Pam (Kevin); grandchildren: Sandy (Teresa), Denise (Jeff), Anna-Marie, Cara (JP), Tamara (Kevin), Kyla, Natasha, Dallas, Tyler, Anthony and Migel; great-grandchildren: Tatyanna, Ariah, Nate, Alexis and Aaliyah, his sister Annabelle (Elmer), brother-in-law Charlie, sister-in-law Shirley (Bill) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Dad was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Isabelle. Dad was born June 5, 1934 in Humboldt, SK and raised on a farm in Marysburg, SK. He met Lucille in Humboldt and they married in 1955. Dad wasn't interested in farming so became a flooring installer. He was a skilled craftsman, hardworking and continued to work well into his 60s. He was proud that his sons Terry, Glenn and grandson Sandy followed the same career path. Dad loved cooking, fishing and his beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was an avid CJOB listener. Dad was chatty and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was very down to earth, had a great sense of humour and often pulled pranks. Dad loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They brought him much joy and he took great interest in their lives. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff at Concordia Hospital for all they did for Dad. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to their charity of choice. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place Thursday, February 3, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West We Love You Dad and We'll Miss You FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS IN CARE OF: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVENUE WEST (AT BOND ST.) 224-1525

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of Ken...there were some great Friday and Saturday nights at the Bauml household aka "The Day Street Drop In Center" and Ken never tired of answering the phone or taking messages for his kids. I had only seen Ken a few times in the past few years but it didn't matter if 10 minutes had passed or 10 years, it was as if no time had passed at all...Ken was very personable and always brought out the very best in people. Ken, we'll all miss you very much. - Posted by: Llew Taylor (Friend) on: Feb 02, 2011
