Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY EDITH SAWATZKY (nee VOTH) 1946 - 2011 Peacefully, with her family by her side, Mary Sawatzky aged 64 years of Winkler, MB passed away on February 1, 2011 at Boundary Trails Health Centre. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Tom Sawatzky and friend, Lise, daughter, Dale and husband, Eric Fryatt, mother, Elizabeth Voth, five sisters, seven brothers, two sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and their families as well as many dear friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Harold Sawatzky in 2009, sister-in-law, Marge Sawatzky, and brother-in-law, Dennis Bueckert. Mary spent her working years as a nurse in the Morden, Winkler, and Boundary Trails hospitals. She also dedicated many hours of volunteer work with the Winkler Figure Skating Club and the Pembina Valley Skating region. Her favourite activities involved spending time with her family and many good friends, sewing, and gardening. Following her retirement she joined her husband in constructing a new cottage at Falcon Lake and enjoyed spending time there. She loved to travel to Vancouver, Montreal, Hawaii, Europe and as far as South Africa. Mary cherished her relationships with family and many close friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home, 121 8th St. in Winkler on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will take place prior to the service on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Westridge Memorial Gardens in Winkler; memorial service will follow at Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite, 252 6th St. at 2:00 p.m. Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler In care of arrangements, 325-4201 www.wiebefuneralhomes.com
