FLORENCE ELIZABETH BIRD June 13, 1954 - January 28, 2011 It is with great sadness and disbelief that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother Florence Elizabeth Bird of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Hand in hand our mother and her husband, Gerry Frechette, will be reunited in heaven with her parents Joseph and Virginia Bird, sister Kimberly Bird, brother Alfred Bird, nephews Kimbii Daniels, Darian Bird, and Ryan Bird, uncles George Mann and Stewart Bird (Manamaag), and aunt Muriel Boyd. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Patricia Mitchell (Edwin), Sonny Bird and Stanley Bird Jr. (Charmaine), as well as her granddaughters Nichelle, Ashara, and Sanyelle, She is also survived by her siblings, Stuart (Wilma), Harold (Gladys), Harriet (Cameron), Darlene (Russell), Andrew, Nelson (Suzanne), Herman (Gloria), Elsie (Morgan), Susan (Walter), Elaine, Cheryl (Lionel), Amy (Kelvin), and Curtis, aunts Flora Jane Houston, Verna Mann, and Joyce Courchene, as well as many nieces and nephews. Wake Services started on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the residence of Cheryl Bird and Lionel Daniels, Hse 199, Little Black River, Manitoba. Funeral will take place on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Revs. Nancy and Richard Bruyere officiating. Pallbearers will be son, Sonny Bird, brothers Nelson and Herman Bird, nephews Harold Jr., Derek and Merlin Bird. Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Words alone cannot express how grateful we are for people like Claude Guimond and Elizabeth Bostrom. Claude made certain that Sanyelle was safe from further harm when he carried her to safety into the arms of Elizabeth who kept Sanyelle warm and safe until the ambulance arrived. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much. Mom, let your angel wings guide you safely to your eternal home we will love and miss you very much.
