Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJENNIFER ELIZABETH ANNE STEITZER Jennifer Elizabeth Anne Steitzer, 27, of Westport passed away suddenly in her home on Sunday, January 16, 2011. She was born on July 2, 1983 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was the beloved daughter of Fred and Susan Steitzer of Westport. Jenn attended Staples High School, as well as Fairfield University and was employed as a Marketing Assistant for Swisscosmet Company. From early childhood, Jenn had a strong love of both fashion and art, inherited from her mother and her grandmother. She also had a passionate love for animals and was dedicated to her dog Checkers. In her spare time she was an avid and gifted artist who made the world a more beautiful place. She is survived by her loving parents, brother Jonathan Steitzer and future sister-in-law Colleen Mitchell of Fort McMurray, Canada along with many aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at noon on Friday, January 21 at The Church of The Assumption, 98 Riverside Avenue in Westport, CT. The Pallbearers were William Miller, Clarence Yackel, Glenn Steitzer, Shant Vosguerichian, Delayne Haasz and Pat Saviano. Jenn will be laid to rest with her grandparents in Winnipeg at Green Acres Cemetery, Winnipeg, on Friday, February 4 at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers in Winnipeg will be David Miller, Kenneth Yackel, Karen Mysak, Glenn Steitzer, Darlene Chubak and Nick Miller. Her beloved dog and constant companion Checkers will serve as Honourary Pallbearer. Donations in her name may be made to: The Humane Society, or to the Epilepsy Foundation. Jenn will live in our hearts forever and never be gone as long as we honour her memory.
