CYRIL JAMES (JIM) ROGERS It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our Husband, Father, Grandpa (Pudka), after a short illness, on January 28, 2011, at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 87 years. Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara, his children and their spouses, grandchildren, his brother Bill, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Beau. Dad was a member of the Wildwood Club for many years, where he enjoyed his friends and golf immensely. His fondest memories would have to be of his cottage, where he shared many a wonderful time with family and friends. For those who knew him, they would always know when he was nearby - his whistling gave him away! Dad enjoyed a long and healthy life, proudly watching his family grow. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff on the 5th floor at the Victoria Hospital for their compassion and kindness for Dad and family. Respecting Dad's wishes, a funeral service will not take place. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society at 45 Hurst, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3 in Dad's memory.
