ANN CATHERINE CRAWFORD
Born: May 06, 1924
Date of Passing: Jan 28, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANN CATHERINE CRAWFORD Ann Catherine Crawford, the daughter of Sarah and George (and from a large family) was born May 6, 1924 passed away painlessly and peacefully after enjoying her ice cream at St. Boniface Hospital on Friday, January 28, 2011. Ann was formerly of Cambridge St. and more recently carefully looked after by the kind staff of Thorvaldson Care Home. Ann was a real character and a handful, living life on her terms. She loved golf but certainly not Tiger Woods, (she was ahead of her time and delighted in his downfall). She was a fan of Letterman, Howard Stern and more recently rodeo, loved youth and children and especially her three unusual dogs Shandy, Elskin and Scooter. Ann saw life as either black or white with no grey areas. Ann's working life was with Manitoba Pool Elevators. She was kind, generous, inquisitive, well read and impatient to just to mention a few attributes. This loving colourful bird has shed the physical garment and is soaring free in the next kingdom. Donations can be made in her name to the (Lung) Cancer Foundation, or better still, just quit smoking now! According to her strict wishes there was a private small, brief graveside remembrance. Fond memories of this beautiful babe with the great legs and piercing blue eyes, always on the go and cruising in her pristine blue 64 Impala Coupe with the white bucket seats. Good night dear one, you are forever in our hearts and we will all be reunited in the blink of an eye.

Ann was my neaighbor on Cambridge Street when I was a little girl. I have fond memories of tea parties at her house. My first sleepover and being taken out for my first taste of Chinese food. I enjoyed spending time with her in her garden with Shandy and learning the names of flowers. I wrote her a letter a few years ago after the birth of my first child thanking her for taking the time with me she did as a child. It was a lasting, positive experience in my life. I wish I had been able to reconnect with you as an adult. Thank you Ann. Laurie Epps formerly of 415 Cambridge - Posted by: Laura Hilland (neighbour) on: Feb 14, 2013
