JOHN WAYNE SANDISON March 21, 1939 - January 31, 2011 After a three month battle with pancreatic cancer, Wayne heard Jesus calling him home. He went to be with his Heavenly Father at 3:15 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the age of 71. Wayne will be greatly missed by Verna (his wife of 51 years); son Darrell; daughter-in-law Evie; grandsons, Daniel and Jonas; sister Bev and many nieces, nephews and friends. Wayne's Celebration of Life service will be held at Bethany Baptist Church (22680 Westminster Hwy., Richmond, BC V6V 1B7) at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2011, with an opportunity for viewing at 10:00 a.m. Following this service, all will be invited to join the family for a reception in the fellowship hall, as well as the 3:00 p.m. interment service at Valley View Memorial Gardens (14644 72nd Avenue, Surrey, BC). If friends so desire, donations can be made to Bethany Baptist Church Memorial Fund (Sound System) or Peach Arch Hospital and Community Foundation. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the ICU and Palliative Care units of the Peace Arch Hospital for their excellent care.
