Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA ROSE BUCKINGHAM February 12, 1930 - February 2, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother and Grandmother Patricia Rose Buckingham, with her family by her side, on February 2, 2011, at the Grace Hospital. Patricia was predeceased by her parents Richard and Theadora Buckingham, her grandson Richard Cooper, and her husband Tom Ford. She leaves to mourn her daughter Suzanne MacDonald (Randy), daughter Carol Goodman (Arthur Matthews), son Ross Goodmansson (Carol), stepdaughter Fran Ford (Russ), grandchildren Chrystoph, Kristen, Erik, Jason (Heather), David (Lori Ann) and her great-grandchildren Payton, Caleb, Hanna, and Sam as well as an extended family and friends. Mom was born and raised in the North End of Winnipeg. She began her working career as a model, working for various department stores and spent many years as the house model for Jacob Crowley. In later life she worked as a skin care consultant for Holt Renfrew. In her long career Mom made many lifelong friends, whom she cherished deeply. Mom had a sophisticated sense of fashion and style. She was the definitive lady; a woman of remarkable beauty and grace, always fashionably dressed for any occasion. Mom was very proud of her family and her happiest moments were spent with them. She was the ultimate hostess, and enjoyed preparing many fabulous meals for dinner parties and holidays. She was strong of will and steadfast to the end, and was ever determined to do things her way . The family would like to thank Mom's special friend Joan McCallum for her kindness and support, as well as The Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation in Mom's memory may be made to the Arthritis Society. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at 2.00 p.m at St. Chad's Parish, Assiniboia Christian Centre, 3390 Portage Ave.
