MARGARET LILLIAN JACKSON (STENSON) It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, with her family by her side on February 1, 2011 at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 88 years. Margaret was born in Winnipeg on May 4, 1922 she worked at the Nutty Club and then Bee Maid Honey. She met Dad and got married in 1948, they were involved in the Legion, Bowling, and Horticultural society. Their friends were very important to them and spent many hours bowling, playing cards, and going on little trips. After Dad's passing Mom moved into Lion's Place and made a lot of new friends, got involved in activities, skittles, bingo, visiting friends and walking. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children Ron, Ralph, (Marlene) Jackson, Valerie (Calvin) Westwood; grandchildren Laura (Blair) Carlson, Andrew Westwood, Johnathon (Joanne Whitaker) Jackson, Tyler, Kaitlin; and great-granddaughter Kimber Jackson; sister Irene Keilback; brother Wilfred Stenson; sister-in-law Molly Jackson, many numerous, nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her Loving Husband Archie in 2003, her parents Eva and George Stenson, five brothers, three sisters, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. A. P. Thottingal, staff and doctors at the CancerCare Radiation Therapy Department and the wonderful angels of the 4 North at the Victoria Hospital for there care and compassion for Mom. Cremation has taken place a Memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will be on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gieardens. In lu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
