Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHUNTLEY BYFIELD Huntley Byfield slipped away quietly on Sunday afternoon, January 23, 2011 at the age of 82 years, just six days short of his 83rd birthday. He leaves behind his beloved wife Mae, family members: Edeline, Carmen, Tony, Mildred, Peter, Melanie, Walker, the DaCosta family, Ren, Hyacinth, Julia, Megan and Natalie. He was predeceased by brothers: Sterling, Morris, Vin, Sir George Byfield, twin brother, Oscar, as well as extended family in Jamaica, Canada and the United States. Viewing as well as a short service, officiated by Pastor Emeritus Charles J. Kiefling, will take place at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Thursday, February 10 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Bethel Community Church, 430 Lakewood Blvd. on Friday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Edward R. Grant. Following the interment at Glen Lawn Cemetery a reception will follow at Bethel Community Church. Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord...that they may rest from their labours...
