RUSSELL NORMAN EHNES It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Russell Norman Ehnes. He quietly passed away at the age of 73 years, with family at his side, on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, following a lengthy illness. He will be greatly missed not only by his family but also by his many friends. Russell was born in Stanley, MB to Esther and Alexander (Sandy) Ehnes on January 29, 1938. He moved to Winnipeg as a young man and started working for D.S.L. at age 19, where he became manager and part owner, eventually retiring in 1997. During his retirement Russell enjoyed many wonderful times with his family, travelled south and enjoyed his favourite pastime, golf, and spent countless occasions puttering around in his garage. Russell was most happy when he was with his family as they were always the most important part of his life. Russell was predeceased by his parents, brothers Eugene and Nelson, goddaughter Kerry, and nephew Scott. He leaves to mourn his wife Deane, children Christine, Brad (Donna), Tim (Lisa), Trudy (Chris) and Tracey (Robert), grandchildren Christopher, Ryan, Craig, Melissa, Kaitlyn, Amy, Chantel, Tyler, Camryn and Jayson, and great-grandchildren Christian, Cole and Hudson.
