Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMERLYN CINQ-MARS November 11, 1928 - February 3, 2011 Merlyn Cinq-Mars passed away peacefully at Tache Centre with family at her side. Merlyn was born in St. Boniface 82 years ago and lived in Ste. Anne and Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Canadian Legion, Ste. Anne's Branch for many years. She was an avid bingo player and luck was always on her side. She always enjoyed dancing and music. Her many talents included crafts, crocheting and knitting. Family members have many blankets to remember her by. Merlyn was predeceased by her husband, Mickey in 2003, her brother Bob and by her parents, George and Elsie Easton. She is survived by her sons Mervin (Clair) and Bryan (Lydia); her four grandchildren: Mervin (Lorie), Jason (Terri), Jamie (Loretta), and Karen (Ron), and her nine great-grandchildren: Ethan, Claire, Connor, Adam, Brady, Alexa, Brooke, Jake and Eva. She also leaves to mourn her dear sister Verna Proulx (Oram) and her nieces and nephews. Merlyn's family would like to thank the nursing staff at Tache Centre especially Tessa and Monique, as well as the Health Care Aides who took such good care of our mother over the past two and one-half years. A celebration of Merlyn's life will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at 1:00 p.m. in Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc St. with Father Martin Bradbury officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Merlyn's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
