Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL WITYSHYN (nee CHITZ) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Pearl Wityshyn at East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB on February 4, 2011 at the age of 85. She is survived by her children Gloria (John), Isabel (Lawrence), Marilyn, Larry and Sylvia (Dave); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and brother Bill (Florence). She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2002, her parents Peter and Anne Chitz, her brother Alex and sisters Sophie and Lena. She was born on April 15, 1925 in Fairlight, Saskatchewan. Her family moved back to the Polson (Komarno, MB) district where she met and married our father Bill in 1944. They farmed in the Polson district where they sacrificed unselfishly of themselves so that their children would have a better life. Mom was involved with the Polson Church, community and the Inwood W.I. and 4-H Club. Later, when they moved to Teulon, with the Teulon W.I and Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and her flowers. Special thanks to staff at Stony Plains Supportive Housing and East Gate Personal Care Home for their kindness and professional care during her stay there. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, February 8, at 7:30 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the Komarno Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Komarno, MB. Interment to follow at the Polson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Polson Cemetery, in care of Dawn Good, Box 594 Teulon, MB, R0C 3B0. Vichnaya Pamyat MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon, MB in care of arrangements.
