Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH BELLA ARGO BLAND 1912 - 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nana and Great-Nana Elizabeth Argo Bland. She went to be with her Lord and Saviour on February 4, 2011 at the River Park Gardens where she resided for the past three years. Elizabeth was born on April 7, 1912 at Nairn, Scotland. She immigrated to Canada in 1927 with her parents and seven siblings. They settled in the Dauphin area. Elizabeth was an amazing lady and lived a wonderful, full life. She was an avid reader, travelled extensively, loved Canada and was always willing to have a good chat with a cup of tea. Predeceasing her was her first husband George Argo in 1969 and her second husband Robert Bland in 1989, her parents Donald and Liza Beaton, as well as her two brothers and five sisters. She will be lovingly and sadly missed by her only son James Argo and his wife Gloria, five grandchildren: Lori and Mike Pala (Ontario), Troy and Julie Argo, Tiffany and John Magri, Wade and Pam Argo, Aaron and Renee Argo, her eight great-grandchildren Whitney and Carrie Pala, Melissa, Matthew, Jordan and Joshua Magri, and Collin and Ashlynn Argo, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family extends their most heartfelt thanks to the Staff at River Park Gardens for their loving and compassionate care. In respect of her wishes a private family burial will take place at a later date. Dear Mom: I want to thank-you for our 50 years of knowing and loving each other. I've always said I should write a book about our lives and how we connected. To many stories of mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law are horror stories. To you, I became the daughter you never had. For me, how could I not love the woman who gave birth to the love of my life? How I'll treasure the years we've had! There's been lots of laughs and lots of tears, valleys we've gone through and mountains we've climbed but Mom, I wouldn't trade any of our days for a million dollars. The Lord sure knew what He was doing when He put us two together. Mom, you are a beautiful Lady and I love you dearly and will always hold your memory close to my heart until we meet again.
