DAVE CHEREPAK Peacefully David, at the age of 72, on Monday February 7, 2011. David was born on July 28, 1938 in Zbaraz, Manitoba, the oldest son of Joseph and Mary Cherepak. David is survived by his wife Mavis, of 51 years, sons Michael (JoAnn), Jason (Lori), and his four grandchildren David, Jack, Noah and Ella, his sister Patricia (John) Kernot, his brother Gordon (Arlene) and numerous relatives. David was predeceased by his father Joseph, mother Mary, and eldest son David. David was employed at Powell Equipment for 47 years, where he excelled as a diesel mechanic, rising to become shop foreman, retiring in the summer of 2003. Big Dave was known for his unwavering generosity in assisting a friend or family member. He could always be found working in his SHOP , either repairing a mechanical device or building a tete a tete. A celebration of life will be held on February 14, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club located at 3459 Pembina Hwy., St. Norbert, Manitoba.
