ROSE ANNA LORIAULT (nee ROCAN) November 6, 1920 - February 7, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister Rose Loriault. Rose had a great love for people as well as an unshakeable faith in God. Rose was known for her kind spirit, outgoing nature and her unconditional love for her family. Rose was born on November 6, 1920 to Emery and Aurmeline Rocan of Labrocquerie, Manitoba and was one of 14 children in the household. Rose left home at the age of 18. She began working in St. Boniface Hospital, she was employed for a few years before she met and fell in love with her husband Joe. They married in 1946, together they had three children: Anita, Lorraine and Roger. The family lived in the Loriault homestead in Vermette, eventually moving to Fort Churchill and later settling in Windsor Park. Rose was widowed in 1971, at this time she was employed as a sample maker because of her exceptional skills as a seamstress and her keen sense of fashion. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Joseph as well as the majority of her siblings. Left with fond memories are her daughters Lorraine (Warren) and Anita (Claude), her son Roger, grandchildren Marnie (Robert), Justin (Jessie), and Vincent (Susan), great-grandchildren Madison, Jordan and Jayce, siblings Lina, Louise (Adam) and Louie; sisters-in-law Alice, Anne, Ida and Barbara as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Thanks Mom for a lifetime of warm, loving memories. You are an inspiration and will forever be missed. Until we meet again...Love your family. A traditional service will be held on Thursday, February 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., on Hwy. 59, south of the Mint. Interment and reception to follow.
