ANNA HAWRYLIUK (DUDAR) Peacefully at the age of 96, Anna passed away at Dauphin Regional Health Centre on February 5, 2011. Surviving is her daughter Olesia (Nestor) Kalinowich (Dauphin), grandchildren Kevin (Shella) Kalinowich (Winnipeg), Yvonne Hawryliuk (Winnipeg), Andrea Kalinowich (Southport), and Leanne Kalinowich (Swan River), great-grandchildren Nicholas and Kev Kalinowich (Winnipeg), sister Olga Fabris (Winnipeg), sisters-in-laws Mary Dudar (Dauphin), Jean Huculak (Sudbury), Mary (Nick) Kukurudza (Winnipeg), Tynne Hawryluk (Levack), and Kay Hawryluk (Saskatoon), brother-in-law Steve (Maxine) Hawryluk (Elliot Lake). Baba will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Katryna Dudar (Lytwyn), in-laws Trofym and Evdonia Hawryliuk, husband Nicholas, son Bob, daughter-in-law Phyllis, brother Miroslow (Miron), nephew Raymond, brothers-in-law Bill, Matt, Mike, and John Hawryluk, Nicholas Belinsky, John Huculak, and Marsilio Fabris and sisters-in-law Mary Hawryluk and Ann Belinsky (Pich). Anna, the eldest daughter, was born in Ethelbert on December 16, 1914. She helped out on the family farm and worked at various jobs in both Swan River and Winnipeg. On October 28, 1939, she married Nicholas Hawryliuk. They settled and farmed the family homestead in Kulish, raising two children Bob and Olesia. Ann was a member of Kulish Ukrainian Catholic Church, Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral (Winnipeg), Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection (Dauphin) and Sts. Peter and Paul Church (Ethelbert). Baba's passions were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her large garden, knitting, baking especially in an outdoor pich, and picking all kinds of wild mushrooms and berries. Rosary will be said by the U.C.W.L.C. at 5:00 p.m. followed by prayers at 5:30 p.m., Friday February 11 at Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Dauphin. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 12, at the church. Interment to follow at Ethelbert Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
