Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY OXFORD It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and poppy on February 7, 2011 at Grace General Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife Jean, three daughters, Sandra, Pauline (Darren), Pansy (Brian), six grandchildren, Scott, Jay John, Bradley, Shane, Cory and Brittany. Predeceasing Stan were his parents, Arthur and Juvernia, and brother Lewis. Stan was born August 25, 1935 in Little Bay Island, NL. He met and married the love of his life Jean, in Kings Point, NL and wed December 20, 1958. Stan enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces February 1956, and retired April 1985, where he served overseas in Germany and Cypress. Anyone and everyone who knew Stan, knew that his favourite pastime was FISHING . A special thank you to Stan's fishing bud Rick Merritt and to Dr. Rumbolt. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stan's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
