WENDY DIANE ESDALE (nee MCINTOSH) With heavy hearts, Wendy's family announces her passing on February 9, 2011 at home with her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Wendy will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by the love of her life, Ken; her special daughters, Tamara Tammy (Matt, Kyia, Tayia) and Tara (Kerry, Karsten, Colton). In addition, she leaves behind two sisters, two brothers, two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Wendy was predeceased by her parents, one brother, her brother-in-law and Ken's sister and brother-in-law. Wendy had a special bond with her sisters, Barbara and Carol, who were so supportive throughout her illness. She was truly an amazing woman; she put everyone's needs ahead of her own. With a contagious positive attitude she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a tremendous amount of love that was unconditional. She was a loving wife, mother, Grandie , daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Wendy loved her daughters unconditionally and was so proud of them. She was thrilled to be a Grandie to her sweetheart Kyia, sweetie Tayia, cutie Karsten and munchkin Colton and deeply saddened to know she wouldn't be able to play a greater role in their lives. We will always cherish her strength, courage, generosity, love, kindness and sense of humour. Wendy was born September 15, 1946 in Winnipeg. She worked for many years in the health care field and enjoyed all the challenges and the many people and co-workers she interacted with. She dearly cherished all her friends, who were so important to her. She loved to knit, crochet, travel, garden, do folk art, read, going to Reh-fit, gardening and volunteering at the KW Community Centre, serving in various capacities, when Tammy and Tara were growing up. She enjoyed being involved with their activities and cheering them on at different events, her favourite being soccer. Her comfort zone was at the family cottage which Wendy referred to as paradise . The family wishes to thank Dr. Cynthia Sawatzky (a phenomenal physician), Dr. Harding, Cindy, Kristie, Dr. Lipschitz, Louise (her guardian angel) and all the other caregivers in the Palliative Care Program who provided care and comfort to Wendy. We are appreciative to family members and friends who supported us throughout her illness. Wendy always felt she was so fortunate to have such amazing and supportive friends. In accordance with Wendy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Wendy's life will be held at a later date, with an announcement to follow. We will love you forever We will like you for always Forever and Ever Our Wens, Mommy and Grandie you'll be.
