As a child Roger spent a great deal of time in Elie and especially enjoyed helping with harvest. He had many interests; his involvement in both his sons' hockey teams, visits to Royal Lake and Kenora and regularly attended auctions at Mordyck's where he always came home with treasures to add to his collection. I knew Roger from Gordon Hotels. I worked in head office, and he was always there with a smile and a twinkle in his eye. I also remember him leading the way home in his van, helping us get home safely to Wpg. from a snowed in Fargo. My son Chris is a firefighter with your son, and probably didn't realize until Roger passed that he and Carey were together in Fargo. It brings many memories back of Roger and the fun we had with him at Gordon Hotels. He will be sorely missed. - Posted by: Patricia Gould (Hauser) (Co-Worker) on: Feb 15, 2011

I will always remember how good Roger was to me when I lived in Fort Garry and helped me with my house. He loved a get together, always room for another burger on the barbeque. Once a friend a friend forever. His smile and that wee glimmer in his eye will be in my heart forever. Beth I will always be here for you Love Debbie xox - Posted by: Debbie Armstrong (Friend) on: Feb 12, 2011

My sincere sympathy to Beth and family and to Roger's sisters,sister-in-law and brothers-in-law. I have many fond memories of Roger as we were growing up and then also as adults. Roger always had a great smile and hug and was great at teasing. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. - Posted by: Laurette Brooker (Legault) (Family) on: Feb 12, 2011
