FRANCES ELIZABETH BAGLEY (FRAMPTON) Peacefully, on Saturday, February 5, 2011, Frances Bagley died at Lions Personal Care Centre. Frances was predeceased by her loving husband Ted Bagley, identical twin Mildred Mair, parents Lillian and Clement Frampton, sister Rae Hatherly, brother Edgar Frampton and step-sister Vivian Baker. She leaves to mourn from the Bagley family nephews and nieces Gary, Gordon and Jerry Pelchat and Dorothy (Elmer) Mol great nephews and nieces Wes Mohl, Teresa Biermann, Mike Pelchat, Deanna Hale, Jeff Pelchat, Danny Pelchat, Karen Pelchat, Denise Pelchat and from the Frampton family line her nieces Patricia (Ron) Ryland, Heather (Dennis) Colter, Carol Frampton, nephews James (Dianne Baker) Hatherly, David (Joanne) Hatherly, great-nephews and nieces Jason and Mark Hatherly, Jeff, Kris and Sherri Colter, Shawn Ryland, Sarah, Naomi and Rebekah Hatherly, Robert and Evan Wilson. Frances was born on April 18, 1922 in Broadview, Saskatchewan where her father was a Presbyterian minister. For most of her young life the family lived in Winnipeg. In her 20s, Frances became a mail order bride', wed to Ted Bagley, and lived and worked on the Bagley farm near Guernsey, Saskatchewan. Theirs was a simple life marked by hard work, thrift, kindness and good companionship. When the farm became too much to handle, they moved to the town of Guernsey and then to Lanigan. After Ted's death in 1991, Frances moved to Winnipeg to be closer to the Frampton family. For the last ten years she has been blessed to have lived at and been cared for by the compassionate staff at Lions Manor. Frances was a person of love and generous spirit, at the same time as her life was complicated by an ongoing struggle with mental illness. She was happiest when recalling life on the farm, with Ted, and when, in person or in her mind, entwined with her sister Mildred. A simple service to honour Frances' life will be held on Tuesday, February 15 at 1:00 p.m. in the second floor activity room in Lions Personal Care Centre, Portage Avenue and Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg. Interment at a later date.
