BARBARA ANN YASKOW (nee TRISKLE) Surrounded by love, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Barbara Yaskow on February 8, 2011 at the Concordia Hospital at the age 73. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Michael and her parents, Caroline and George. She leaves to mourn, her daughters, Betty (Dale), MaryAnn (Alan), Roseann, Maxine; and son George. Barbara also leaves to mourn, close grandchildren, Janessa, Jocelyn (Shawn), Keith (Lisa); great-grandchild Hailee, she also leaves three other grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister Maxine (Lawrence). Barbara was born June 11, 1937, in Rainy River, ON where she helped on the family farm before meeting and marrying Michael. Together they moved to Rossburn, MB to start a family. Barb developed a close bond to Betty and her family and those who came to visit. She enjoyed the company of others and enjoyed the laughter. Granny , as most knew her, was a lady who never asked much. She embraced life her way and went head to head with more challenges than one should ever have to face, showing us what strength and perseverance truly is. Her interests included spending time with family and friends, sewing, knitting and crocheting. We all enjoyed the warmth of those slippers. She also devoted much of her time and energy to feeding and watching over her pets: Rock, Kuma, Autumn, Willow and Forrest. Her companionship, whether on a trip to the store or out for lunch at one of the local restaurants, will be dearly missed. Barb was never too tired to lend a helping hand in the kitchen helping to peel onions and potatoes. Her family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at the Concordia Hospital for the care they provided in making her as comfortable as possible. In honour of Mom's wishes, interment will be held in the Argyle Cemetery, North of Shoal Lake, MB. There will be a private memorial service held at the graveside on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. In loving memory of a dear Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Barb will be greatly missed. Loved with a love beyond all feeling. Missed with a grief beyond all tears. With profound Love and Devotion, Betty and family. FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS IN CARE OF: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVENUE, WEST (AT BOND ST.) 224-1525
