JAMES ALEXANDER ORMISTON November 15, 1934 - February 10, 2011 Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, James passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. He will be forever missed and his memory cherished by his wife Mary Lou, children Colleen, John (wife Gabriela), and Paul, and four grandchildren who were the apple of his eye: Andrew, Zachary, Megan and Alexa. Jim was well known in the flower industry as a partner at Paddon Wholesale Florist. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for 17 years in East St. Paul, retiring as Deputy Chief. Jim was an avid curler and accomplished tennis player. He spent summers at the family cottage at Winnipeg Beach. His greatest enjoyment came from time spent with his family. Many thanks to the staff of the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for the exemplary care they provided during his final days. A Memorial Service to celebrate Jim's life will take place on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Saviour's Anglican Church, 690 Monroe Avenue. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital or CancerCare Manitoba.
