Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES PERCY DAVIES December 11, 1913 - February 11, 2011 It is with great sadness and happy memories that we announce the passing of Percy. Percy was predeceased by his parents Charles and Ally Davies and his wife Merle and all his siblings: Ada Bell, Eva Patterson, Florence Davies and Ernest Davies as well as his granddaughter Corinne Davies, nee Bedford at the age of 24. Percy is survived by his son Raymond Bedford (Diana) and his children Tony (Nicki) and children Skye, Zachary, Alex and Treyton. Son Rodney (Candace) and their children Meagan, Mason and Vincent. Percy is also survived by his daughter Rose Leclair (Leo) and their children; Debra (Marvin) and her children Brittany and Corey, Beverley Weiss (Derrick) and their boys Ryan and Ricky, Lisa Gorowski (Andrew) and their children Chad, Lee, and Allyson, and Ray Leclair of Vancouver. Percy also has a special niece, Ellen Wells who has been with us all through his journey. He also has many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Percy is also survived by his sisters-in-law Helen Miller and Viola Howson. Percy was born in Carman and lived on a farm southeast of Carman for 60 years. He attended Ostrander School and farmed all his life with his brother Ernest who lived across the road and they helped each other over the years. Percy married Merle Bedford and Percy became an instant Dad to Raymond and Rose, who were teenagers. Percy and Merle worked side by side doing mixed farming as well as cows, chickens and huge gardens with many strawberries and raspberries. It was much work but so many great memories. Percy loved his Saturday nights in Carman with friends later camping in Stephenfield, many holidays from coast to coast, Las Vegas and seeing the Grand Canyon by helicopter. They sold the farm and moved into a cute little house in Carman where they lived for 20 years; and their house, yard and garden was their pride and joy. We also had such great time for family events and they never missed a birthday party or graduation or wedding or a baby. They were always there for all of us. We were all so blessed. Percy sold his house after Merle passed away of cancer and he moved into the Towers where he resided for 17 years until January 31 when he had to move into the Carman Hospital where he passed away on February 11. Percy was a warm, kind and caring person and will be sadly missed by all. We love you. We know Mom is there to take you by the hand and continue your journey together once again. Love from your family Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Doyle's Funeral Chapel, Carman. Interment will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Boyne Towers, or to the Carman Hospital Palliative Care. A special thanks to the staff at the Towers and the Lodge as well as The Carman Hospital for taking such good care of Percy. Doyle's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. www.doylesfuneralchapel.com
