MARGARET BERNICE OLDEN (nee GRIFFIN) July 25, 1924 - February 14, 2011 We wish to announce to passing of Margaret Bernice Olden. Margaret passed away peacefully at Minnedosa Hospital with family at her side. Margaret was born July 25, 1924 at Planky Plains, Manitoba. Margaret married Merton Olden in 1945. Merton and Margaret farmed in Greenridge, Manitoba. Their daughter Glennis was born July 12, 1952. Margaret and Merton stayed on their farm in Greenridge until 1984, when they moved to St. Pierre. They remained in St. Pierre until 1997, when they moved to Neepawa. After her husband passed away, Margaret moved to Minnedosa in 2005. Margaret was loved by many. She was a pillar of strength to her family, and friends. Her strong faith made her who she was. Margaret had many hobbies, she even attended a Goldeyes game on her 85th Birthday. She loved baseball, she also enjoyed cards, reading, nature, and cooking. We all have very fond memories of Margaret. Margaret is predeceased by her husband Merton, brothers, Ben, Harry, Lloyd and Dan, sisters Fern, Mary, Grace and Cora in infancy. Margaret is survived by her daughter Glennis, son-in-law Bill, grandchildren Michelle and Tyler, her brothers Earl (Gwen), and Jim. She also has numerous, nieces, nephews, friends and family. A small service will be held at the Minnedosa Funeral Home Friday, February 18 at 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 19 at Greenridge United Church at 2:00 p.m. Immediate family viewing will be at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenridge Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Minnedosa Funeral Home. We love you, may you rest in peace.
