JAMES (BEANER) BEAN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband and Father James Beaner Bean on February 14, 2011. Jim died at home with his wife Jan, of 24 years, by his side. Jim will sadly be missed by his wife Jan, daughters Karen of Edmonton, Catharine (Callum) and beloved granddaughter Lochlan, and sister-in-law Judi Simpson of Edmonton. Jim will be deeply missed by his surviving brothers Richard, Donald (Lorraine), sister-in-law Margaret, nephews Donald, Darryl (Janice) and Darcy, Jackie (Randy), Brad (Sarah) of Edmonton, Blake (Samantha) of Edmonton. Great-nieces and nephews Taylor, Grayson, Jordan, Braeden and Keenan, Bailey, Brody and Rylee. Jim was predeceased by his parents, brother Robert, in-laws James and Ann Morrison and brother-in-law Bill. Jim's greatest love was curling at the Victoria Curling Club and farming with his brother Richard in Balmoral, Manitoba. Jim's hobbies were gardening, the odd game of golf and bragging about his granddaughter. He installed fireplaces and wood burning stoves for Prairie Fireplaces for the last 28 years. Jim's biggest joy was his family and friends. We will all miss his generosity and quiet presence. A memorial service will be held at the Brooklands Weston Legion, 1613 Logan Ave., Winnipeg, at 2:00 p.m., February 18, 2011. A private family graveside service is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
