Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH AGNES RABSON (nee HODGE) March 30, 1915 - February 11, 2011 Peacefully on February 11, 2011, Elizabeth Betty Rabson passed away at Broadmead Lodge in Victoria at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Rabson, in 1970. She is lovingly remembered by her children, John (Pat) Rabson of LaSalle, Man., Richard (Lynda) Rabson of West Vancouver, B.C. and Wendy (Matt) Delorme of MacGregor, Man. and their respective children, Lawrence and Mia (Chad); Matthew and Alesa; and Andrew, Jonathan and Selena. Elizabeth was born in Winnipeg and lived also in Victoria, Toronto and Ottawa before returning to Victoria in 1979. She spent much cherished time at the family cottage on Lake of the Woods, Ont. She was a nurse with the Victorian Order of Nurses, serving as their president for a time. She served her country as a nursing sister in the Second World War stationed in England and Italy. After the war she married the love of her life in England and they returned to Winnipeg where she devoted herself to raising her family. Elizabeth had a life long thirst for knowledge and was always aware of the events going on in the world. She loved to read and listen to the radio and spent many an hour listening to opera and her much loved music. Elizabeth's family wish to thank the nurses and careworkers of Broadmead Lodge and her friend, Anne Lynam, for the wonderful care they provided. At Elizabeth's request, there will be no service. If you so wish, donations may be made in Elizabeth's memory to the CNIB (directed to the CNIB Library) or to the Broadmead Care Foundation (directed to the Music Recreation and Therapy Program).
