CHARLES (CHUCK) VICTOR OBIREK May 1, 1924 February 14, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Charles at Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 86. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 57 years Louise and his five children, Sharon Graham (Al), Robert (Linda), Terry Eshelman (Jack), Paul (Darlene), Jim (Deborah), numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Mike, Francis, Lil, Phyllis, Gloria, Ivan, Iona, and Larry. He was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Stella, siblings Jean, Walter, Violet, Pauline, and Donald. Pallbearers will be his godsons Albert Compain, Larry Ladobruk, Julien Obirek, and his grandsons Bradley Obirek, P.J. Graham, and Catlan Eshelman. The family extends a special thank you to Elisabeth and staff on the 5th floor of the Holy family Nursing Home for their compassion and care during Dad's short stay. Viewing to be held Monday, February 21, from 7:00 9:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 22, at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
