Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD RAYMOND RICHARDSON Our loved one passed away at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital on February 16, 2011 at the age of 86. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Kay; three children Marlyss (Ron Valiant) of Calgary, Marvin (Terry) of Minneapolis, and Laura (Dave Loohuizen) of Kenora; six grandchildren Clinton, Theresa (Rich Zeller), Angela, Emily, Abby and Darian; one great-grandson Cayden; sister Gweneth Richardson of Moose Jaw; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and ten brothers and sisters. Clifford was born on October 31, 1924 in Glenavon, Saskatchewan. In the midst of the depression, the family moved by train to the Moose Jaw area where he later started a dairy farm and delivered milk. He married the love of his life, Kay in 1954. Beginning in 1957, he worked on road construction as a gravel crusher operator for five years. Next Cliff, Kay, and their family moved to their current farm near Teulon, Manitoba where they raised cattle. The 2500 acre farm was a haven for generations of the Richardson family and their friends where everyone helped with the cattle, where children gathered eggs, and loved to ride behind the horse in a cart built by Cliff. To support his passion for farming, Cliff worked on custom baling, was a caterpillar tractor operator, and worked on construction projects. He cared deeply for the family, farm and church. He served on the Teulon Hospital Board for ten years, on the Teulon Ambulance Board for seven years, and on the board of Teulon Gospel Tabernacle for over thirty years. He never hesitated to help anyone, whether it was a nearby neighbour or a stranger in need. Cliff's ever-present sense of humour made the long workdays shorter and put smiles on the faces of friends and family alike. His memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Interment at Erinview Cemetery after the service. A luncheon will follow at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Health District Foundation at Box 89, Teulon, MB, R0C 3B0.
