PATRICIA MACE September 28, 1929 - February 12, 2011 On February 12, 2011, Pat passed away at the age of 81. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband John; children Peter (Rouge), Judy (Michael), Virginia (David), Vicki (Paul); her sister Sharon; eight grandchildren; two nieces; and one great-grandchild. Pat was predeceased by her son Jamie. Pat grew up in Winnipeg where she met her husband while attending the University of Manitoba. They were married in 1951. Pat contracted polio in the epidemic of 1953, which impaired her mobility but never stopped her from living a full and active life. Pat and John raised their five children in Winnipeg with summers in Matlock, Manitoba, until 1971 when they moved to Montreal. Over the years, Pat worked part time as a journalist. They retired to Kingston in 1980, where Pat became an active volunteer, working with the Ontario March of Dimes, the Kingston Access Bus and the Seniors Association of Kingston.
