GISELE FORGUES LEWIS 1930 2011 Peacefully and with her family by her side Mum, Gigi, Grandma went to rest on February 19th, 2011, just shy of her 81st birthday. Left to cherish her memory are her children Jean (Albert), Helen (Barry), Jim (Liette), Richard (Marie-Lynn) and Patricia; her grandchildren Jeffrey (Dionne), Andrew, Lisa, Alyssa, Samantha and Courtney all of Winnipeg; and her brother Jacques of Montreal. She was predeceased by her brother Guy and her parents Maurice and Rosilia of Montreal. Mum was completely dedicated to her family and it took no prodding at all for her to boast about her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook huge family dinners and took great pride in her home. She was a master seamtress, talented knitter, and enjoyed getting out for an afternoon of shopping and lunch. Though getting forgetful at times, her mind was sharp till the end and a book of crossword puzzles was never far away. Gisele was born in Montreal the oldest of three and the only daughter to Maurice and Rosilia. After graduating secretarial school, she got married and moved to Winnipeg in Windsor Park and then later to Fort Richmond. She spent many happy years at the cottage at Victoria Beach. In honouring Mum's wishes her corneas have been donated to help another with their eyesight. We wish to thank the staff at Fort Garry Rotary Villa and Victoria General Hospital 4th floor for their care this last week of Mum's life. A celebration of Mum's life will be held on Thursday, February, 24th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Victoria Hospital Foundation. Your mother is always with you Not time, Not Space Not even death will ever separate you from your mother Thank you for being there Mom.
