EDWARD MELVILLE WRIGHT 1939 - 2011 After a lengthy battle with cancer, Edward passed away on February 18, 2011 at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Edward will be missed by his loving wife of 21 years, Elnora; his sons, Brian, Terry, Randy; his daughters, Kathy, Karen; his granddaughter Aleksa; his siblings, Doreen, Cliff and his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by father Melville, mother Alice and sister Mae. Edward was born April 6, 1939 in Wolseley, SK, and later his family moved to Thunder Bay, ON. At 17 he joined the air force and served three years, after which he had a successful 45 year career as a long haul truck driver. Ed enjoyed golfing, flying, reading and spending time with his wife, family and granddaughter. In his later years he spent a lot of his time camping in Morden, MB. A memorial service will be held at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. West, Winnipeg, MB on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
