LORRAINE MONICA NUGENT Lorraine Nugent passed away on February 19, 2011 at Meadowood Manor at the age of 91 years. Lorraine was born in Winnipeg, on July 20, 1919. She is survived by her two daughters, Carole (Robert) and Adele. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Ned in 1998. Lorraine was a kind and gentle person, with twinkly blue eyes, who had a wonderful sense of humour and who loved a good joke. Her easy laugh will always be remembered. She lived her life by the golden rule of live and let live , she never judged or criticized others. She loved her family, her home and her pets. Not having any grandchildren of her own, she enjoyed her many grandpets and showed them love and care. Following her husband's retirement, they enjoyed travel, especially the west coast and Alberta and also spent a great deal of time at Clear Lake. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people at Meadowood Manor for their kindness, care and compassion; and a special thank you to Stacey, Laurie, Marie and Dr. Duerksen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. A private family service will take place at Meadowood Manor.
