Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) ALLAN MITCHELL With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Bob, at his residence surrounded by his family, on Friday, February 18, 2011, after a very courageous four year battle with cancer. Bob was born October 24, 1947, in Selkirk and lived his entire life at the same address, building a new home there in 1980. After graduation he worked at MRM for 37 years retiring in 2003 (what a party!). His bachelor days came to an end in 1985 when he was introduced to the love of his life Diane and making it official in June 2002. Bob had many interests. He was proud to have obtained his private pilots license. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, hunting, fishing and walking, especially with his dogs throughout his life, an ice cold beer in his backyard, good food and the company of good friends. He had a great knowledge of trivia and history, thus enjoying crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, The Wheel and Second World War history. He loved his country and was passionate about wildlife conservation. He enjoyed all sports but especially watching the world junior hockey every year. Family came first to Bob, both young and old. At family and social gatherings his quick wit and unique laugh will be especially missed. Bob is survived by his wife Diane; brother Bill; sisters, Eileen (Bill) Griffin, Valerie (Brian) Sewell; niece Jennifer Mitchell; nephews, Ryan (Kristin) Mitchell, Brett (Andrea) Griffin and Roy (Kathy) Griffin.
