EGIDIO (JONY) VIDONI Egidio (Jony) Vidoni born August 16, 1934, passed away February 16, 2011 at St. Boniface Hospital from heart complications. Jony was a well established businessman from Europe; Jony successfully ran VIDONI'S Restaurant on Henderson and later on Ellice for several years, famous for it's Chicken Dracula dish which was copied by several other eateries at the time. Jony also co-ran National Healthcare - a manufacturer of healthcare products - and Gimli Golf Course with wife Betty. He was predeceased by wife Julia (died August 2008) and life partner Betty (died March 2005), as well as brother Donoto from Modena, Italy. He is survived by his brother Costello (nephews Alex and Marco) in Italy, son John Vidoni Jr. (Charlene) in Winnipeg and adopted son Chiplean Michael Vidoni. Missed by best friends H.I.H. Aklile Berhan Makonnen Haile Selassie, Gary Bachman, Billy Sandulak, Paul and Linda Bourgouin, Phil Paskal, Arthur Lupu, Sharlotta Kittner, the Mercury family among others.
