Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUGUSTE (GUS) CHARLES FOUCHARD 1917 - 2011 On February 20, 2011, Gus left us to join his beloved wife Vicky. Born November 1, 1917, in Grandview, MB, he lived in St. Boniface with his five sisters. In September, 1944, he married the love of his life, Vicky Allesia. He left to serve with the Canadian Army during The Second World War in the Aleutian Islands, then in Europe. In 1947 Gus and Vicky moved to Vancouver where they raised a family. He spent his working life with Macmillan Bloedel and National Paper Box. Gus will be missed by his son Joe (Cathy) and daughter Denise (Roy); grandchildren: Tyler, Rebecca (Florio), Candice and Jeff; as well as Gus's sisters Toni and Louise; and many nieces and nephews . He will be remembered for his unconditional love and praise; the way he always made time for his grandchildren, his enjoyment of anything Hawaiian, his crib playing and love of sport (especially hockey). Our family is indebted to the staff at the George Derby Centre for the caring and respectful manner in which Dad was cared for. A celebration of Gus's life will be held at the George Derby Centre, 7550 Cumberland, Burnaby, at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Gus's name to the George Derby Centre.
